The General, Bristol

Working with award winning heritage developer, City & Country, we're pleased to have manufactured and installed balconies and the supporting steelwork that will provide many of the apartments with their own terraces.

About the Project

The Iron Foundry is a contemporary new building, consisting of 16 stylish apartments, which forms part of the popular - and multi-award winning - redevelopment of The General, the former Bristol hospital.

Working with award winning heritage developer, City & Country, we're pleased to have manufactured and installed balconies and the supporting steelwork that will provide many of the apartments with their own terraces. All balconies were pre-built at our Taunton factory and transported to site in sequence in order for our installation teams to work safely and efficiently. The General won Heritage Project of the Year, at the Michelmore’s property awards in Exeter. Andy McGoldrick, Regional Construction Manager of City and County said:

This is a real testament to all of your continued hard work on this difficult and challenging project. This is now the 8th award this project has won since its launch 2 years ago. None of this would have been possible without your hard work and commitment. The Judges last night made a point of coming to tell us what a fantastic and considered development the General is and how everyone they met from Builder to Sales team were a breath of fresh air. Well done everyone and thank you on behalf of the company.
