Fabricator Welder

South West based, Taunton Fabrications are a highly respected architectural metal-work and bespoke steel fabrication specialist. Working across the region for over 30 years we provide high quality products and services to main contractors, developers, and private clients.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fabrication team. Ideally you will have a proven track record as an experienced fabricator / welder or completed an apprenticeship or BTEC level 3 in welding / fabrication and gained experience within the industry.

Role description:

Reporting to the Production Manager you will be working with the fabrication team producing a wide variety of bespoke architectural, secondary, and structural fabrications. Our workshops on the Galmington Estate in Taunton are modern, well laid out and efficient. Using the latest CNC processing technics our raw materials are pre-processed to ensure accuracy and consistency. Typical projects include:

• Feature stairs, Access Stairs, Gantries & Walkways
• Balustrades and handrails
• Balconies
• Structural steelwork
• Bespoke architectural features

The ideal candidate will have:

• Background in fabrication or manufacturing
• Be able to work from fabrication drawings
• Able to work well in a team
• Able to work on own initiative and self-motivated
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Punctual and Self-motivated
• Positive attitude to work with attention to detail
• Flexible approach and able to prioritise tasks
