Contracts management and installation

Our experienced contracts managers are crucial in safeguarding the client’s interests throughout the manufacturing and installation stages.

Our team of contracts managers have many years of experience in both the metalwork and construction industries, and their knowledge is crucial to ensuring that all projects are executed according to plan, on time, and within budget. As well as monitoring compliance, carrying our regular site visits and providing regular progress reports to clients, they are also responsible for the day-to-day management of our experienced installation teams that work across the south of England.

Systems and processes

  • We use the latest Elecosoft project management software to report on the progress of all contracts and elements of work on a weekly basis.
  • Our contracts managers are trained to Construction Skills Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) level.
  • Each of our site teams has a dedicated supervisor trained to the Construction Skills Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) level.
  • Our installation work is carried out in accordance to ISO45001:2018 and CHAS & Worksafe schemes.

Our  installation teams

Our contracts managers are responsible for our team of highly skilled installers that work on sites across the south of England. At peak periods, we engage with an approved supply chain of sub-contractors, which ensures that the quality of work and Health & Safety is controlled and maintained at a high level at all times.

Contracts management services

We provide a wide range of contracts management services that align with the Technical Design and Manufacturing and Construction stages of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Plan of Work framework. These include:

  • We ensure that all contractual documents are properly executed between the client and contractors. This includes confirming that all parties understand their roles, responsibilities, and the scope of work.
  • Our contracts team regularly reviewing the contractor’s work to ensure it complies with the terms of the contract, including quality standards, timelines, and material specifications.
  • We also manage any changes to the contract (variations), including assessing their impact on time, cost, and quality, and issuing formal instructions for the approved changes.
  • Our team identifies potential risks during the installation phases and, where applicable, can advise on mitigation strategies to minimise potential risks.
  • We conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess quality, and ensure compliance.
  • Identifying any defects or non-conformances during the installation stage, advising on corrective actions, and ensuring these are resolved before project completion.
  • We ensure that all activities related to the installation phase comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Our team provide clients with regular progress reports, including updates on timelines, costs, and any issues or risks that have been identified.
  • Our contracts team act at the key communication link between the client, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that information flows smoothly and that decisions are made in a timely manner.
  • We conduct final site inspections to identify any snagging issues that need to be addressed before the handover of the building to the client.
